Do not submit more than one FAFSA

Please ensure that Northern Kentucky University is included as a school on your FAFSA. Only schools listed will receive the data. Northern Kentucky University's Title IV code is 009275.

Once you submit your FAFSA you may be asked to provide additional information to our office. The U.S. Department of Education requires that schools verify certain information for accuracy. The purpose of this is to ensure that the students with the highest eligibility for federal funds are given access to these funds. Click here for more detailed verification information.

Once your financial aid file is complete an award package notification will be sent to the student. When determining an award package for a student, NKU offers the maximum in award eligibility based on the FAFSA from federal, state, and instituitional sources. Any outside funding resources received by the student (i.e. scholarships) must be reported to the Office of Student Financial Assistance as these additional awards could alter the students offered and/accepted awards.

REMINDER: You must reapply each academic year for financial aid.

Summer financial assistance

Summer financial aid eligibility is based upon what a student has recieved for the previous fall and spring semesters. Click here for more detailed summer information.
