Holmes High School/Newport High School Program
NKU developed the Holmes/Newport Grant to support the success of graduates from Holmes High School and Newport High School. The grant award is up to $3,000 annually to cover tuition costs at NKU. It is renewable for up to four years. Students must maintain a 2.5 college grade point average, attend NKU full-time and remain Federal Pell Grant eligible in order to renew.
To qualify, students must:

Be Federal Pell Grant eligible

Be a graduate of Holmes or Newport High School

Be a first-time freshman

Be enrolled at NKU full-time

Submit an application for admissions by April 1, 2008

Be accepted to NKU (does NOT require regular admission status)

Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) by April 1, 2008
