What is better than one iPad mini?  TWO!

The Office of Student Financial Assistance is offering help to current NKU students filling out their 2015-2016 FAFSA application.  Students who complete their application before March 1st, 2015 will be entered to win one of two iPad minis.  We are also available Monday through Friday in AC301, 8:15am to 4:30pm.
Drawings were held February 5th and March 5th.  Winners were notified through their NKU email.

Congratulations to Kwame Paddymo for completing his 2015-2016 FAFSA application early!  He is our February winner of the iPad mini.

Leah Stewart the Interim Associate Vice President for Enrollment and Degree Management and Director of Student Financial Assistance presented the iPad mini to Kwame on February 6th.

Ariyana Hardy completed her 2015-2016 FAFSA application early and won the second iPad mini.  Congratulations to Ariyana as she continues work on a Middle Grades Education Major.

The 2015-2016 Continuing Scholarship Application process has completed.  The deadline for completion was March 15, 2015.

Book Advance

The book advance allows students to tap into their projected financial aid refund.  If eligible, they could receive up to $750 before the semester begins.

2015-2016 Financial Aid Awards

The Office of Student Financial Assistance will begin processing 2015-2016 FAFSAs in early March, 2015.

Students with complete financial aid files can expect delivery of their 2015-2016 financial aid awards according to the following tentative timeline:

  • Mid-March, 2015 for new first time freshman students
  • Late March, 2015 for new transfer, graduate and law students
  • Mid-June, 2015 for current students who are meeting Satisfactory Academic Progress requirements


Disbursement Information

  • Summer 2015 financial aid disbursements will begin June 5, 2015. Financial aid disbursements are defined as when your financial funds disburse to your student account services billing account.

  • Summer 2015 financial aid refunds will begin on June 12, 2015.  Financial aid refunds are sent from the Office of Student Account Services within seven days after the financial aid disbursement.  Financial aid refunds are defined as the excess financial aid funds sent to the student by paper check or direct deposit.  Direct deposit funds should be in your bank account within 24 to 72 hours after the scheduled refund date.
