How do I get an FSA ID?

Beginning May 10, you will be able to create an FSA ID when visiting certain U.S. Department of Education websites.

The FSA ID process consists of three main steps:

1.      Enter your log-in information.

  • Provide your e-mail, a unique username, and password and verify you are at least 13 years old.

2.      Enter your personal information.

  • Provide your Social Security number, name, and date of birth.
  • Include your mailing address, e-mail address, telephone number, and language preference.
  • Provide answers to five challenge questions.

3.      Submit your FSA ID information.

  • Agree to the terms and conditions.

Verify your e-mail address. (Note:  By verifying your e-mail address, you can use your e-mail address as your username when logging into certain U.S. Department of Education websites.)

Book Advance

The book advance allows students to tap into their projected financial aid refund.  If eligible, they could receive up to $750 before the semester begins.

Disbursement Information

  • Fall 2015 financial aid disbursements will begin August 25, 2015. Financial aid disbursements are defined as when your financial funds disburse to your student account services billing account.

  • Fall 2015 financial aid refunds will begin on September 1, 2015. Financial aid refunds are sent from the Office of Student Account Services within seven days after the financial aid disbursement. Financial aid refunds are defined as the excess financial aid funds sent to the student by paper check or direct deposit. Direct deposit funds should be in your bank account within 24 to 72 hours after the scheduled refund date.
